Do you remember when President
Trump visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem on May 23, 2017 (as the first
sitting president)? Well, because of
that and his recent recognition of Jerusalem, Yisrael
Katz, who is Israeli’s Minister of Transportation, has stated that he will
name a future railway station near the Western Wall after Trump.
Not everyone in the Israeli
government is excited about the idea.
Journalists have even expressed concerns. On his Twitter account, the columnist Chemi Shalev kiddingly stated, “Why stop with train station, ingrates? Kotel should be renamed Trump
Wall and the praying area - Ivanka Square.”
