Wafq has closed the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. However, they will allow Muslim prayer on the
open areas on the Temple Mount. Sheikh
Omar Al-Kiswani said, “all prayers will be held in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa
mosque and the doors will remain open to all worshipers.”
